Description

The Painter’s Helper is responsible for the preliminary work before the actual painting, such as preparing the work area, scaping off old paint, buffing and sanding surfaces, and applying filler and taping.

Responsibilities

Remove grease, dirt, paint, or rust from heavy duty trucks in preparation for paint application, using abrasives, solvents, brushes, blowtorches, washing tanks, or sandblasters.
Assist in refinishing of damaged vehicle body parts in accordance with manufacturer dealership specifications
Work with a variety of power tools to prep, paint, and clean heavy duty trucks
Buff and wax finished paintwork
Disassemble, clean, and reassemble sprayers and power equipment, using solvents, wire brushes, and cloths for cleaning duties.

Qualifications

Prior experience in vehicle paint process
High school diploma or equivalent
Detail-oriented
Aesthetic sense
Familiarity with required materials and tools
Physical dexterity, strength, and balance
Time management
Submit to and successfully complete MVR, background check
